Entering the MTC!

June 1, 2016

The morning started with getting our last minute things together and leaving the house at 10 am.  We needed to stop at Sister Missionary Mall to exchange a couple of dresses that were a little fitted for Dad's taste (ha).  One was the dress she wanted to wear into the MTC.
We met the rest of the Ho Ching family at Golden Corral for brunch at 11 am, Grandpa and Grandma Ho Ching's treat!  Hermana Norman did not eat very much as she was nervous about the MTC. At noon, we headed for the MTC.  Took pictures with family that was there at our normal family meeting place when any of the missionaries leave from our family.
At 1:00, Hermana Norman wanted to start good byes.  She was anxious to get to the MTC by her 1:15 assigned time, yet Mom was pushing for 1:30, 2:00 maybe even 4:00!
Goodbyes were said, hugs were shared and many tears flowed.  We loaded Hermana Norman into the suburban with her siblings, parents and Grandma and Grandpa Ho Ching.  The line into the MTC was long, but we were okay with spending a few more minutes with Hermana Norman. Once parked at the curb, a sweet sister, who looked like she was 12, immediately greeted us and asked that she take one final picture of our family.  She then grabbed Hermana's large suitcases (each weighed 70 lbs) and rolled them off with Hermana Norman at her side with her carry on and messenger bag.  She said good bye and never looked back.

And like that.....she is gone for 18 months.  She is so ready and excited to serve the people of Salta Argentina.  They are lucky to have her!
